Alpha Capital rules: Alpha Pro vs Alpha One
Alpha Capital Group's standard two-step is Alpha Pro, sold in 8% and 10% versions. Both use a balance-based daily drawdown set at the 00:00 GMT+3 reset and a static overall drawdown. The one-step Alpha One uses a trailing high-water mark instead. Any breach is hard: trades are closed and the account is closed.

Alpha Pro 8% vs 10%
| Pro 8% | Pro 10% | |
|---|---|---|
| Targets | 8% / 5% | 10% / 5% |
| Daily drawdown | 4% | 5% |
| Max drawdown | 8% static | 10% static |
| Minimum days | 3 per phase | 3 per phase |
| Lot cap at $100K | 40 lots | 40 lots |
Alpha Capital does not list prices per size on its homepage and a discount banner was running, so check the price at checkout. Total allocation across all plans is capped at $400,000.
Alpha One's trailing floor, from Alpha's own example
| Balance | Floor |
|---|---|
| $100,000 | $94,000 |
| $102,000 | $96,000 |
| $106,000 | $100,000, locked |
The floor trails your highest balance by 6% and stops at your starting balance. Compare Alpha Pro 10%: the floor sits at $90,000 whatever you do.
On Pro 10% a trader risking 1% ($1,000) has five stops of daily room, measured from the day's starting balance only, so open profit at the reset does not help. Pro 8% gives four.
Alpha's help article states the reset as 00:00 GMT+3 and does not say whether it shifts with daylight saving, while its Terms mention GMT+2, or GMT+3 in US daylight time. Check the reset time in your dashboard.
Trading rules
- News: allowed, but you may not open or close a trade on the affected instrument from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the release.
- Weekends: allowed in Phase 1 and 2, but not on the funded Alpha Pro Qualified account. Alpha Swing exists for traders who hold.
- EAs: MT5 only, and only for risk and trade management. Fully automated EAs are prohibited.
- Copy trading: from your own external account with proof of ownership. Copying other traders is banned.
- Trade duration: Alpha has a soft rule on a 2-minute minimum average trade duration.
Payouts and scaling
On the bi-weekly option, your first request is 14 days after your first trade on the Qualified account, with at least 5 trading days and $100 of realised profit, then every 14 days. On-demand payouts can be requested any time with at least 2% profit, as long as no single day is more than 40% of total profit. Payouts arrive within 2 business days. Scaling adds 10% of the initial balance at a payout with 10% growth, up to $2,000,000 cumulative.
Where Alpha accounts end
It is allowed in both phases, so traders build the habit, then break it on the Qualified account.
Alpha only allows trade-management EAs. A fully automated strategy that passed elsewhere is prohibited here.
Closing counts as much as opening inside the 5-minute window.
Sizing Alpha Pro around a balance-based line
Alpha Pro sets the daily line from the start-of-day balance, so open profit at the reset does not help you. A plan that fits: on Pro 10% at $100,000, risk 0.5% ($500) per trade, stop after four losses ($2,000), and close any trade you do not want to carry before 00:00 GMT+3.
With 3 minimum days per phase, the 10% target is about ten 2R winners net, three or four a day over three or more days. On Pro 8% with a 4% daily, cut the daily stop to $1,600.
Before you move to the Qualified account, check the weekend rule: any position you used to hold Friday to Monday now has to close.
Track Alpha Capital in the RB journal
There is no Alpha preset yet, so set it up as Custom.

- In Risk Manager, add a prop account and pick Custom. Set targets 10% and 5%, daily 5%, total 10%, drawdown type static. (Pro 8%: 8%, 5%, 4%, 8%.)
- Sync MT4 or MT5 live through the RBSync EA (cTrader is supported too), or import a CSV statement.
- Check Daily room left right after 00:00 GMT+3, when the new day's line is set.
- Before requesting on demand, compare your best day with 40% of total profit.
- Mark weekend-held trades with a tag so you can see the habit before it costs a funded account.
Questions traders ask about Alpha Capital
Is Alpha Capital's daily drawdown based on balance or equity?
On Alpha Pro 8% and 10% it is set from the start-of-day balance, but breaches are judged on live equity. Other Alpha plans use the higher of balance or equity.
Can I hold trades over the weekend at Alpha Capital?
In Phase 1 and 2 of Alpha Pro, yes. On the funded Alpha Pro Qualified account, no.
Is Alpha One's drawdown trailing?
Yes. It trails your highest balance and locks at the starting balance.
