E8 Markets rules: how E8 One actually works
E8 Markets no longer sells a two-phase challenge. Its main product, E8 One, is a single-phase evaluation you configure at checkout: you pick the size, the drawdown and the payout share, and the target follows from the drawdown. Two drawdowns apply. A daily drawdown, fixed in dollars, resets at 00:00 server time. A dynamic drawdown trails your highest closed balance and locks once it reaches your starting balance.
Because E8 One is customizable, your numbers depend on what you chose. Below we use the $100,000 default shown on E8's site.
- Profit target
- $9,000 on the default; set by your drawdown choice
- Daily drawdown
- $4,000 (4% of initial, fixed in dollars)
- Daily reset
- 00:00 server time (UTC+3 now, UTC+2 from early November)
- Max drawdown
- $6,000 dynamic, trails closed balance, locks at start
- Minimum days
- Check the firm's current rules
- Time limit
- None, but trade once every 60 days
- Consistency
- None in the challenge, 40% best day once funded
- Split
- Chosen at purchase, 80% on the default

E8 was running a 30% discount on the day we checked. E8's help centre also shows a "preset" of 6% target, 3% daily and 4% dynamic, which differs from the homepage default. Your purchase confirmation is the only reliable record of your own numbers.
The dynamic drawdown, worked through
| Event | Closed balance | Dynamic floor | Daily floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start | $100,000 | $94,000 | $96,000 |
| Close +$3,000 on day 2 | $103,000 | $97,000 | Day 3: $99,000 |
| Open trade floats +$2,000 | $103,000 | $97,000 (open profit does not move it) | $99,000 |
| Close balance reaches $106,000 | $106,000 | $100,000, locked for good | Day start minus $4,000 |
For a trader risking 1% ($1,000) per trade, the daily line gives four full stops. Notice what day 3 looks like: the daily floor follows the day's starting balance, so one bad session from $103,000 can drop you to $99,000, and the dynamic floor has already moved up to $97,000 behind you. The gain you banked on day 2 no longer protects you the way a static floor would.
Payouts and funded rules
- First payout: possible as early as 3 days into the Performance stage, on demand. Minimum $100.
- Payout size: a payout must be more than half the daily drawdown. On a $100K account with a $4,000 daily, that is over $2,000.
- Best Day: once funded, no single day may be more than 40% of profit.
- News: free in the evaluation. In Performance, no trading from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after high-impact news.
- Weekends: E8 One allows overnight and weekend holding at every stage.
- EAs: allowed unless E8 sees several users running the same trades. Order caps apply: 50 lots per ticket, 20 on gold.
- Copy trading: between your own accounts only.
We could not find a published scaling plan or confirm minimum trading days for E8 One, so check the firm's current rules for both. E8 also sells E8 Pro (static 8% drawdown, 2.5% daily) and E8 Signature, which use different rules.
Where E8 traders lose the account
The dynamic drawdown only moves on closed profit, but the daily floor is fixed from the day's start. A big open winner that reverses can breach the daily line while the dynamic floor sits untouched.
Server time moves from UTC+3 to UTC+2 at the start of November, so the daily reset shifts an hour on your clock.
On the default $100K, a payout under about $2,000 is not allowed. Plan the request size before you count on the money.
Choosing your E8 One numbers
Because you configure E8 One yourself, the most important decision happens at checkout. A bigger drawdown means a bigger target, at 1.5 times the drawdown. A 4% dynamic drawdown means a 6% target; a 6% drawdown means 9%. The ratio is the same, so pick the drawdown that suits how your losing streaks look, not the one that looks safest.
Check your journal for your worst run of losses. If your longest losing streak is eight trades at 0.5% risk, that is a 4% drawdown, so a 4% dynamic drawdown leaves no margin. A 6% drawdown with 0.5% risk gives you twelve losses of room.
Then keep each day inside half of the daily drawdown. On a $4,000 daily that is $2,000, or four 0.5% losses on $100,000.
Track E8 One in the RB journal
The journal has an E8 One preset. Because E8 One is customizable, check that the preset's numbers match the ones you bought.

- Add a prop account in Risk Manager and choose E8 Markets, E8 One. Edit the target, daily and total drawdown to match your purchase.
- Sync MT5 through the RBSync EA so closed profit updates as you trade.
- The journal trails the drawdown on live equity, stricter than E8's closed-balance trail, so it warns early rather than late.
- Before each trade, read Daily room left. Keep each stop under a quarter of it.
- Once funded, watch your best day against the 40% rule before you request a payout.
Our E8 journal page shows the setup.
Questions traders ask about E8 Markets
Does E8 Markets still sell a two-phase challenge?
No. Its current lineup is single-phase: E8 One, E8 Pro and E8 Signature, plus futures.
When does the E8 daily drawdown reset?
At 00:00 server time. E8's server runs on UTC+3 now and moves to UTC+2 at the beginning of November.
Is the E8 One drawdown trailing?
Yes. The dynamic drawdown trails your highest closed balance, moving only when profit is closed, and locks permanently at your starting balance.
