RB Trading Pro Journal ("RB Trading", "we") operates rbtrading.site and the associated trading journal application, newsletter and tools. For anything in this policy, contact journal@rbtrading.site.
| Data | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Email address (and a display name if you set one) | Your login identity, cloud backup key, receipts and product emails | Our hosting provider's private storage (Netlify) and our email processor |
| Trade journal data, trades, accounts, notes, screenshots, settings | The product itself | Your browser first (local storage on your device). If cloud backup/sync is on, an additional copy is kept in private storage so a lost device doesn't mean lost trades |
| Payment and subscription status | To know what you've paid for | Stripe or Whop hold the payment details; we store only your subscription status and plan. Card numbers never touch our systems |
| Usage signals, app opens, aggregate trade counts, which paid features you reached for | To make the product better and send fewer, more relevant emails | Private storage |
| Support emails you send us | To help you | Our mailbox |
We do not collect government IDs, broker passwords, or your broker account credentials. The optional MT4/MT5 sync pushes trade history from your terminal to your journal; it cannot place trades or withdraw funds.
| Processor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Netlify | Hosting and private data storage |
| Stripe | Card payments and subscription billing |
| Whop | Optional marketplace billing, if you subscribe there |
| Resend | Sending transactional and product emails |
| Substack | The free newsletter, if you join it |
| Meta | Ad measurement, a signup event with a hashed (irreversible) email, never your trades |
| Google (Tag Manager / Analytics) | Site analytics |
| Twelve Data / TradingView | Market prices and charts, they receive no personal data from us |
Some processors are based in the United States; transfers rely on their UK/EU-approved safeguards (Data Privacy Framework participation or Standard Contractual Clauses).
The journal is built on browser local storage, that's a feature, not tracking: keys beginning rb_ hold your trades, settings and backups on your own device. The public site also uses Google Tag Manager for analytics and Meta's pixel cookies (_fbp, _fbc) for ad measurement.
Your choice comes first. If you're visiting from the UK or EEA, no analytics or advertising script loads until you answer the cookie banner, "Essential only" is one tap, everything on the site works fully without them, and your answer is remembered on your device (rb_consent) for up to 12 months. You can change your mind any time from the cookie settings banner; switching to essential-only also clears the analytics cookies we can reach.
Under UK and EU GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your data, and object to processing. Email journal@rbtrading.site, we act on verified requests within one month. Deleting your account removes your cloud backups; data on your own device is under your control. You can also complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Traffic is TLS-encrypted end to end. Cloud data sits in access-controlled private storage, payments never touch our servers, and admin access is key-protected. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you promptly and plainly.
The service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes materially we'll note it here with a new date, and email you if the change affects how your data is used.
