RB Trading Last checked: 8 October 2026 4 min read

BrightFunded's 2-Step Classic asks for 10% then 5%, with a 5% daily loss and a static 10% maximum, 5 trading days per stage and no consistency rule. The daily line is set at the late-evening CET rollover from the higher of balance or equity. Once funded you also earn 15% of the profit you made during the challenge.

A trading day that counts

A day counts toward your 5 if at least one trade stays open for 60 seconds or more. That kills the trick of opening and closing a tiny trade to tick off a day.

Worked example: $100,000 2-Step Classic

At rollover your balance is $102,000 and equity $102,600 with a trade open. BrightFunded takes the higher, $102,600, and subtracts 5% of the original size, $5,000. Tomorrow's line is $97,600. The static floor is $90,000 throughout.

A 1% trader ($1,000 per trade) has five stops of daily room. Because the line is set from the higher figure, an open winner held through rollover raises it; closing before 11:30 PM CET keeps it lower.

Funded rules

Payouts and scaling

Your first payout comes 30 days after your first funded trade, then every 14 days (weekly and bi-weekly add-ons exist). Split is 80%, 90% with an add-on. You also receive 15% of your Phase 1 and Phase 2 profits, credited with your first payout request after reaching 10% growth.

Scaling reviews 4 consecutive months: profitable in 2 of them, 10% or more combined, at least 2 payouts, and the account at break-even or better. Each scale adds 30% of the original size with no cap, and the split becomes 100% from the third scale-up. Prices and leverage were not confirmed on BrightFunded's official pages, so check them on the site.

How BrightFunded traders slip

Counting quick trades as days

A day only counts with a trade open for 60 seconds or more.

Holding a winner through rollover

The higher-of rule lifts tomorrow's line when equity is above balance at rollover.

Expecting an early payout

The first payout is 30 days after your first funded trade, longer than many firms.

A plan for BrightFunded's slower payout

BrightFunded rewards patience. The challenge has no consistency rule, so the plan is about the floor: on $100,000, risk 0.5% ($500) per trade and stop at $2,000 a day. The 10% target is ten 2R winners, spread over at least 5 counted days.

Once funded, the first payout is 30 days away. Use that month to stay level rather than chase: 2% to 3% in the first month is enough, and the 15% share of your challenge profits arrives with your first request after 10% growth.

If you plan to scale, remember the review needs 2 payouts and 2 profitable months out of 4.

Next trade sized to the remaining drawdown room in the RB Trading journal prop tracker, set up for BrightFunded
Next trade, sized to the room: the tracker caps the trade at half of today's room (demo account).

  2. Sync MT4 or MT5 live through the RBSync EA (cTrader is supported too), or import a CSV statement.
  3. Check the calendar for days with a trade held 60 seconds or longer.
  4. Close or hedge open profit before the CET rollover if you want tomorrow's line lower.
  5. Note your first funded trade date so the 30-day first payout is on your calendar.
