FundedNext rules: the Stellar 2-Step, explained
FundedNext's Stellar 2-Step asks for 8% in Phase 1 and 5% in Phase 2, with a 5% daily loss limit, a 10% maximum loss that never moves, 5 trading days per phase and no time limit. The daily limit has a twist worth understanding: it is 5% of your initial balance, and profit you make earlier the same day adds to that day's allowance.
If you remember the old 10% first phase, that was the retired Evaluation model, closed to new buyers in March 2025.

How the daily limit really behaves
The daily allowance starts at $5,000, 5% of $100,000. You start the day at $103,000 and make $2,000 by noon. FundedNext's own example: that profit raises the allowance to $7,000. Your floor for the day is still $103,000 minus $5,000 = $98,000. The extra allowance just means your morning gain does not shrink the room.
Two details matter. Swaps, commissions and floating losses all count. And a floating loss still open at midnight counts against the new day.
The overall floor is $90,000 and never moves, even at $110,000. A trader risking 1% ($1,000) a trade has five full stops of daily room.
News, weekends, EAs and copying
- News: allowed in the Challenge. On funded accounts, trades within 5 minutes before or after high-impact news on a correlated pair count at only 40% of their profit, while losses count in full.
- Weekends and overnight: allowed on both Challenge and funded accounts. Swaps count toward the daily loss.
- EAs: FundedNext's 2-Step help article allows EAs on accounts below $50,000 and not on $50,000 and above. Another FundedNext page mentions an EA add-on, so check before you run one.
- Copy trading: only between Challenge accounts you own. Not between people, and not on any funded account.
- Quick Strike: trades closed within 30 seconds must stay under 30% of your trades.
Rewards and scaling
Your first reward comes 21 days after the funded account is activated, then every 14 days, at 80%. Other options trade speed for split: 60% on the 3 Profitable Day reward, 90% on demand (with no single day above 40% of total profit). FundedNext also pays 15% of your Challenge profits at the first scale-up, except to US traders. Scale-Up adds 25% to the balance and moves the split to 90%.
How FundedNext traders fail
It carries into the new day's limit. A trade that was fine yesterday can start today already eating your room.
Per the 2-Step help article, EAs are not permitted from $50,000. Check before you buy the size.
Quick Strike trades above 30% of your total break a rule even when they are profitable.
A FundedNext plan for five days
The 5-day minimum per phase means even a fast trader needs a week per phase. Use it. On $100,000, risk 0.5% ($500) per trade and aim for roughly $1,600 a day across five days for the 8% Phase 1, or $1,000 a day for Phase 2.
Keep each day inside $2,000 of loss, under half the $5,000 allowance. If you hold overnight, include the swap in that number, because swaps count toward the daily loss.
Check your hold-time stats once a week: if more than a quarter of your trades close inside 30 seconds, you are close to the Quick Strike limit.
