Lark Funding rules: the 1-Step evaluation

RB Trading Last checked: 8 October 2026 4 min read

Lark Funding's 1-Step asks for 10% in a single phase, with a 5% daily loss taken from your balance at 5:00 pm EST, a static 7% maximum drawdown, no minimum days, no time limit and no consistency rule. The two details that catch people: the gap between 5% daily and 7% total is small, and trading stops at 3:45 PM EST on Fridays unless you buy the weekend add-on.

Why 5% and 7% sit so close

Worked example: $100,000 1-Step

Day 1 starts at $100,000. The daily line is $95,000; the overall floor is $93,000.

Say you lose $4,000 on day 1 and close at $96,000. Day 2's daily line is $96,000 minus 5%, about $91,200, but the static floor at $93,000 is higher, so your real room on day 2 is $3,000. One bad day takes most of the account.

A 1% trader ($1,000 per trade) has five stops of daily room on day 1, and only three after a bad day. Cutting to 0.5% after any red day keeps you alive.

The target is measured on floating equity, so an open winner can pass the account. Close it to lock the result.

Other rules

Payouts

First payout at 14 days, then every 14 days, at 80%. Minimum withdrawal $100, plus a $40 fee per payout through Riseworks. There is also an optional Monthly Base Reward with its own rules: drawdown better than minus 3.5% and 3 profitable days of 0.5% in each 30 days. We found no scaling plan.

Lark also sells 1-Step Max (12% target and drawdown), a 3-Step with no daily limit, and an Instant account with an 8% trailing drawdown.

Where Lark accounts end

A full-size day after a red day

With 7% total, the static floor often sits above the daily line after a loss. Your real room is the smaller of the two.

Forgetting the Friday close

At 3:45 PM EST Friday your trades are closed for you, at whatever price the market gives.

Going all in on news

Large positions on a release can be treated as a prohibited strategy, not a bold trade.

Sizing for a 7% static floor

The 7% floor is what really limits a Lark trader, not the 5% daily. On $100,000, plan as if you only have $7,000 to lose in total. Risking 0.5% ($500) per trade gives fourteen losses of total room. Cap each day at $1,500 so no single day takes more than a fifth of it.

The 10% target is ten 2R winners at that size. With no minimum days and no time limit, there is no reason to rush.

Plan Fridays too: either be flat before 3:45 PM EST, or buy the weekend add-on before you take a swing trade.

Track Lark in the RB journal

The journal includes Lark presets for the 1-Step, 3-Step and Instant accounts.

Next trade sized to the remaining drawdown room in the RB Trading journal prop tracker, set up for Lark
Next trade, sized to the room: the tracker caps the trade at half of today's room (demo account).
  1. Add a prop account in Risk Manager and choose Lark Funding, 1-Step Career Evaluation.
  2. cTrader trades sync through RBSync; DXtrade and MatchTrader can be imported from a CSV export.
  3. Read both Daily room left and Room Left: on Lark the smaller one is your real limit.
  4. Remember the trading day rolls at 5:00 pm New York, so a late-evening trade belongs to the next day.
  5. Log the $40 Rise fee with each payout so your net figures are honest.

Questions traders ask about Lark Funding

When does the Lark Funding daily loss reset?

At 5:00 pm EST. The limit is 5% of your account balance at that time.

Is Lark Funding's max drawdown trailing?

Not on the 1-Step. It is a static 7% from the initial balance, so a $100,000 account must stay above $93,000.

Can I hold trades over the weekend at Lark?

Only with the weekend add-on. Otherwise trading is disabled at 3:45 PM EST on Fridays and open trades are closed.
