FX Replay is a replay tool with a journal.
RB is a journal with replay.

FX Replay is built for backtesting on historical charts, and it is good at it. RB Trading starts from your live account: MT4, MT5 and cTrader sync, the Prop Tracker and AI reviews, with backtesting and bar-by-bar replay on Pro. One subscription, $29.99 a month. FX Replay is $17.99 to $35 a month, or free with tight limits (its pricing page, checked 30 Oct 2026).

Worried about being charged after you cancel? Cancel or pause billing for two months from Settings. Pro is refundable in full for 30 days, and you can export every trade after cancelling.

Prop Tracker live account status: current equity $203,303.73, challenge progress 16.5%
Real screen: Nathan’s FunderPro 200K challenge in the Prop Tracker, published 5 Jul 2026

Pro is $29.99 a month. Refund in full within 30 days of your first payment, one email to journal@rbtrading.site.

A short tour of the journal

How it reads a synced account and points at what is costing you.

The short version

  • If replay is the job, FX Replay is the specialist and probably the better pick.
  • If the journal is the job, RB Pro journals and backtests in one place, so you are not paying two sites.
  • $29.99 a month, with a 30-day refund and a cancel button in Settings.

Disclosure

  • RB Trading wrote this page and builds the Pro Journal, so we are not neutral.
  • Every rival price was checked on the vendor’s own page on 30 Oct 2026 and is linked, and our own limits are listed too.
  • Spot something out of date? Email journal@rbtrading.site and we will fix it.
What low-star reviews mention

Three themes in FX Replay complaints

FX Replay is rated 4.1 from 655 reviews on Trustpilot, so these come from the unhappy minority. It is a sample, not a census.

Lag and slowdowns
Several low-star reviews describe sessions lagging, and some say recent updates made it slower. From the first page of 1 and 2 star FX Replay reviews on Trustpilot, dated Jun to Oct 2026, read 29 Oct 2026.
Charged after cancelling
Some of the same reviews say they were billed after they cancelled. RB Pro is refundable in full for 30 days, and Pro runs to the end of the period you paid for, then drops to the free plan.
No cancel button found
Others say they could not find where to cancel. On RB, cancel and pause both sit in Settings, and your trades export after you leave.

Honest limits

Where FX Replay wins, and where we fall short

FX Replay is the stronger pure replay tool. Replay is the whole product there, with sessions, indicators and data built around it. On RB, replay is one module inside a journal. If you spend hours a week replaying charts, try FX Replay’s free plan first.

FX Replay is cheaper at the low end. Intermediate is $15 a month on yearly billing, against $299 a year for RB Pro.

Our replay and backtesting are Pro only. The RB free plan has live sync and the Prop Tracker but no analytics, backtesting or replay, and it stops at 50 trades in total.

No live futures sync. RB has no live Rithmic, ProjectX or TopstepX connection. Futures platforms come in by file import.

When to stay

When to stay with FX Replay

Stay if you are building or testing a strategy and most of your week is spent in replay, if you trade from a platform RB cannot sync, or if FX Replay’s journal already covers what you log. A replay specialist is the right tool for a replay-first trader.

Switch, or add RB, if you are paying for a replay site and a separate journal, if you trade prop challenges and want drawdown room on screen, or if you want a written refund and a cancel button you can find.

Journal and backtest in one

Try it on your own trades first.

50 trades free with live MT4, MT5 and cTrader sync. Backtesting and replay come with Pro at $29.99 a month.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is FX Replay a trading journal?

FX Replay is a backtesting and chart replay tool first, and it includes a journal on every plan, free included (its pricing page, checked 30 Oct 2026). RB Trading Pro Journal works the other way round: it is a journal first, synced live from MT4, MT5 or cTrader, with backtesting and bar-by-bar replay on Pro.

How much does FX Replay cost?

FX Replay's pricing page, checked 30 Oct 2026, shows a free Beginner plan (2 sessions, 1 indicator, 1 week of data retention), Intermediate at $17.99 a month or $180 a year, and Pro at $35 a month or $350 a year. RB Trading Pro is $29.99 a month or $299 a year.

Can RB Trading replace FX Replay?

If you mainly journal live trades and backtest now and then, RB Pro covers both in one subscription: live sync, Prop Tracker, AI reviews, backtesting with bar-by-bar replay and the AI Strategy Backtest. If you spend most of your time in replay sessions, FX Replay is the specialist and is likely the stronger replay tool.

Will I be charged after I cancel RB Trading?

You cancel in Settings, or pause billing for two months instead. Pro keeps running until the end of the period you paid for, then the journal moves to the free plan. Pro is refundable in full within 30 days of your first payment, and you can export every trade after cancelling.
